We didn’t set out to build a candy company. We were trying to find JOY.
Yellow Belt Joy Co. exists because we believe joy is worth making by hand. After years of building businesses that looked successful on the outside, we felt God inviting us into something completely different: a life built around craftsmanship, family, celebration, and delight.
OUR WHY
Because joy isn't something you buy. It's something you share.
OUR MISSION
Making joy something you can hold in your hand.
The Life That Looked Successful
For years, we built brands, grew businesses, spoke on stages, and helped other people chase their dreams.
We were incredibly grateful for that season, and it changed our lives in so many ways. But somewhere along the road, success slowly became heavier than joy. We found ourselves asking a question that changed everything:
What if God wasn't asking us to build something bigger… but something truer?
Bread Changed Everything...
Before there was candy, there was Sourdough
First Comes Sourdough...
Years ago, we started baking sourdough. At first it was just a hobby. Then we started giving loaves away to friends, clients, neighbors, and complete strangers. Something beautiful happened. People didn't remember the marketing conversations. They remembered the bread. They felt seen. We realized food has a way of saying,"You matter. I love you."
Sometimes God answers prayers by changing the question.
We finally found what we were made to build.
Therapy, reading & connection taught us how to heal. Prayer taught us how to trust. Recovery taught us that identity isn't earned. And somewhere in all of that... God gave Amy a vision she couldn't shake. Not another agency. Not another strategy. A candy company. One built around delight instead of deadlines. Around family instead of hustle. Around craftsmanship instead of constant growth. Around hope, legacy & joy.
We hand-pull hard candy in Oklahoma one batch at a time. Every flavor is made by people, not machines. Every order is packed by our family. Every piece is our way of helping someone celebrate the JOY worth celebrating.
